I wanted to leave an update on my first post from 9/9. I have still not received my refund. I think I am going to have to go to court to get my refund from the Trump Initiative. What a worthless company!!

Hi Mark, thanks for the sight, great info and feedback from people who write in. I was in the Trump Network for a few months. I came in after a friend did. I joined her as a partner. She joined at the base, something around 50.00 dollars, then there is the 497, but the highest is 1,700 (FSG) that is what I put upgraded us for. You do get product and that is how these companies get around the ”pyramid scheme”. I received, 1,700 worth of product, which was something I really didn't need. It was okay, but not a great diet line. To their credit I did learn some things about how to market on line, but you could hire someone for $200 hundred and get the same info. They come from a former company, which supposed GNC wanted to buy for billions? Which now I hear may not have been the right amount. The reason we came on board is that they were telling us Donald Trump was going to talk about the company on the Miss USA pageant, and that our websites would rotate, capturing people who wanted to join the company. That never happened, nor did he even mention the company. Also, we were told we could not use his name in certain ways. Yes, he is on the website and he does make recordings so others can hear, but we are still limited. They say they are going international and are adding product, their face cream I do like, but they are now talking about adding a hair line?? They do have phone calls you can listen to. The calls that pump you up, and other calls where you can learn about marketing. Some of the people involved are really nice, but some, well that just comes with the game. The people that I would call, I would tell them everything about the company, the positive and the negative. I felt people should know everything before they come in, (in my case I only heard the good!) And well, I didn't sign anyone, and good for them!!! I feel good about that. I'm not sure about: Trump Initiative, but that may have come after I left. I didn't want to keep paying the monthly of almost 200 dollars. That is the way you get your money when new people come on board. You have to have so many points yourself, so you get paid. That also means you have to put 200 month of product in your house, or use. All in all everyone has to decide if they want to do MLM's for themselves, for me, I will never do another one. I know business cost money to run, but I'd rather have more control over where my money is going. All the best to you all!!

I went to one of the Trump Initiative Seminars in Scottsdale AZ on 8/21/10. During the seminar a program was being sold called Speedlings. At the time the program seemed great. At the end of the sales pitch there was an opportunity to purchase the program but only 15 units were available (or so they said) at $6,000 ea. According to the purchase agreement I had three days to evaluate the program and to request a full refund. I made the decision to purchase Speedlings knowing that I would be able to request a refund within the three days if I decided it was not what I wanted. After I had time to research and evaluate the program I decided that the investment was too risky and the ROI was not sufficient. I called/emailed the Trump Initiative on 8/23/10 and requested a refund. I spoke with one of the sales associates named Mark Covais. He told me that the refund would be processed and returned to my account in ten business days. I waited until 09/07 and still had not received the refund. I emailed the Trump Initiative on 09/07 and did not receive a response. I waited until the late afternoon on 09/07 and called the TI. I spoke with a female who looked up my order. She told me that Mark did not submit my paperwork for the refund until 08/31 and that I should wait another 10 business days. From the time that I requested the refund from the time I might receive the funds it will be 30 days! I own two retail stores and occasionally need to refund customers for purchases made. I understand that it takes a few days to process the refund and for the banks to refund the amount owed. If I told my customers that it would take 30 days for them to see their money I would loose a customer. The feeling that I got from the Trump Initiative Program is they sell less then desirable "investments" with high pressure sales and if the investor wants a refund it will take upwards of a month to receive the refund. During this time the money is accruing interest for the Trump Initiative. I suppose this would be called a legal pyramid scheme. I figured a company with the name Trump behind it would have better business practices.

Hmmm, anyone with a network reality TV show (Apprentice) isn't someone I'd put in the 'gold' category. Sliding more toward the 'cheap' category--even if I do enjoy watching it from time to time.
